The registrations for the Shanghai Major open qualifiers are now open. It is from January 3 to 6 with a beta platform to allow players, viewers and teams experience a smoother track of the tournament progress of the bracket for the said Shanghai Major. You can register at Faceit as a Solo player, with a party or as a team, anyways if you applied as a solo player there are also solo registrants that can be your team mate so no worries, solo registrants can make or build their own team. The Shanghai Major Open qualifier has only 1,024 slots per Region.
