After I have finished my successful win of my Storm Spirit of the first game of my MMR calibration I immediately find solo ranked matchmaking again. I never expected that we will lose in the second game of my MMR calibration. I played a support Earthshaker in the game and we dominate in early game, and I even got Blink Dagger, Arcane Boots and Soul Ring in just 13 minutes of the game. In 15 minutes of the match, the score was 22-9 in favor to our team and our carry Drow Ranger has already Mask of Madness, Black King Bar and Daedalus as her core items. The carry on our opponent was Storm Spirit, Drow Ranger has been outplayed Storm Spirit in mid lane and even during team fights. Storm Spirit cannot do a thing during clashing every time our Drow Ranger silenced him and the other enemy heroes.
However, during the late game our opponent realized that they all need a Black King Bar item in order to sustain in the middle of team fights and counter the silence spells. Activating the Black King Bar will end the silence spells that's being casted to your hero. And so our enemy Storm Spirit has purchased Black King Bar to counter our carry Drow Ranger. Drow Ranger is ineffective whenever Storm Spirit will activate it's Black King Bar to end the silence spelled to him, as well as the stuns of Earthshaker to Storm Spirit doesn't work when he is in avatar mode. So the game has turned into their favor during the late game, having a score of 58-41. We tried to take back the favor and net worth to our team, we also tried taking the aegis from the Roshan but even with an aegis on Drow Ranger the enemy still managed to wipe us out. The game was hard already and Storm Spirit is unstoppable during his avatar mode in team fights. Our team hero lineup were Earthshaker, Drow Ranger, Disruptor, Night Stalker and Timbersaw, we don't have mana leak or mana drain abilities to disable Storm Spirit. However our Timbersaw built Scythe of Vyse to counter and disable Storm Spirit by activating his Black King Bar and other active inventory items but it was too late, the enemy had already mega creeps in both top and bottom lane. My team has coordination, every player cooperates and we all did our best. Maybe our strategy in the match wasn't good enough.
Anyway, winning in an MMR calibration matches do not really matter in order to receive a high MMR rating, as long as you execute your skills well in the match then it's good. It is also my first lose under the progress of my 10 matches of MMR calibration so no worries. I have now completed 2 games in MMR calibration and just 8 more games to go to reveal my MMR rating.
When you play your 10 games of MMR calibration, play with your top best heroes and avoid random picking of heroes and do not practice a hero during your MMR calibration. Playing your best hero will help you raise your MMR rating during the calibration. Once you are already expert to the hero you are playing you could exactly execute it's abilities very well during crucial team fights and you wouldn't be confused on your hero abilities while in the middle of battles.
