Hero Abilities and Items that Dodges Land Mines in Rune Spawn Location.

The hero Goblin Techies is an intelligent type of hero in Dota 2. Since it is an intelligent type of hero it has a poor or small base damage of 7-9 to 29-31, 74-76 and 118-120 and has a slow attack speed per second of 0.58 to 0.67, 0.79 and 0.97 in his level 25. However Goblin Techies has a deadly trap or explosive bomb trap ability that he could plant in any location of the map. Techies is known as a combat setter, area or map controller and a suicide hero, those are his main role in the game. During early game his 3 to 4 land mines can already kill an enemy hero even in full health points. Techies first skill which is the land mines has a full damage radius of 200 and 500 for half damage and the maximum land mines to be planted is 20.

Most of Techies players plants land mines before the battle begins, planting more than 3 land mines in the same location or in one radius of explosion can already kill an enemy hero or even more than 1 enemy hero under the area of effect of the land mine explosion damage. Techies players never neglect to plant numbers of mines exactly at the location where random runes spawns, because planting land mines at the location where rune spawns gives Techies and his allies a vision to a spawning rune and keeping enemy heroes to stay away from the rune spawn location, one wrong step of an enemy toward the rune will kill them. However land mines has a detonation delay of 0.3 seconds after being triggered and mines can be dodged by some Dota heroes that has a hide and invulnerability type of abilities.


List of Heroes that Can Dodge Land Mines After Taking Runes.

Puck - Puck has an ability that can dodge land mines in rune spawn location. Yes, Puck's Phase Shift ability can dodge Techies' land mines.

Here is how:
Before taking the rune or before going toward the rune, you should hold the shift key while right clicking the rune and press the Phase Shift ability. Holding "Shift" key is queuing an hero act or moves so after taking the rune Puck will automatically cast Phase Shift itself before the land mines explode, after the explosions and channeling of Puck's Phase Shift you will see Puck have taken no damage at all and it's health points is still the same and have successfully taken the rune. This is because of Puck's Phase Shift has no cast time and Techies' land mines has a detonation delay of 0.3 seconds.

Phantom Lancer - Yes, Phantom Lancer can now dodge Techies' land mines. Before, Phantom Lancer has a Doppelwalk as his second skill and doppelwalk can not dodge land mines. After Valve Dota  updated the game to 6.82 they have changed Phantom Lancer's Doppelwalk into Doppelganger and Doppelganger can dodge land mines when Phantom Lancer cast it after taking the rune. He will vanish after casting Doppelganger and become invulnerable. Through the same process as Puck in taking the rune, you will also use the shift key in order to dodge mines in rune location. First, right click on rune then hold shift and press Doppelganger then click on an area near to the rune location where PL and his illusions will appear. Doppelganger has a 600 cast range and zero cast time that's why it can dodge land mines.


How to dodge Techies mines


Ember Spirit - With Ember Spirit's fire remnant, activating it can make him invulnerable during his dash travel to his fire remnant. It can dodge any magic spells incoming to him when he will activate it before the spells landed to him and it also dodges land mines explosions after taking runes, just make sure that you have released at least 1 charge of fire remnant before activating it, if you haven't released a fire remnant then you activated it there's nothing will happen and you will not able to dodge land mines' explosions or any incoming spells. Activate fire remnant has 0 to 1.07 cast time, 150 mana cost and has a global cast range. When taking runes, you still need to use "shift" for queuing "activate fire remnant" after you have right click on rune. Queuing is a must in dodging Techies' land mines in rune spawn location so be particular with the "Shift" key.

Phoenix - With Phoenix Supernova he can dodge land mines after taking the rune. His Supernova will make him immune to spells in 6 seconds duration. However, during his Supernova he is not invulnerable, he can be attacked be enemy units. Yes, Supernova can dodge land mines' explosions. However, using Supernova in dodging land mines by just taking a rune is a waste of Phoenix's ultimate. Supernova is very useful in team fights, besides Supernova also stuns enemy units when it explodes after the 6 seconds duration and fully refreshes some of his abilities which is in cooldown, also refreshes his health points and mana so never use Supernova just for taking rune and dodging mines.


How About Other Hero Abilities?

Don't even try dodging land mines with Outworld Devourer's Astral Imprisonment and Shadow Demons' Disruption, although you will be grant invulnerability when under those spells however it has a cast time, casting Astral Imprisonment and disruption after taking the rune is late to dodge land mines. Astral Imprisonment has a 0.25 + 0.4 cast time and disruption has 0.3 seconds cast time the same as the detonation delay of Techies' landmines.

Mirana's Leap, Earth Spirit's Rolling Boulder, Timbersaw's Timber Chain, Antimage and Queen of Pain's Blink, Morphling's Wave, Slarks' pounce and Shadowdance and Sand king's Burrowstrike. Those are also the skills we think that can dodge land mines after taking runes. Definitely those abilities can't dodge land mines, those abilties mentioned has cast time and some has a near escape range that still in AOE of the land mines.


Dota 2 items that Dodges Land Mines in Rune Spawn Location.

Eul's Scepter - Eul's Scepter has an active ability called cyclone. When a unit is swept up by Eul's Scepter or Cyclone he will be invulnerable for 2.5 seconds. Eul's Scepter is also used to dodge spells and besides Cyclone can also dodge land mines when taking runes. How? Before going toward the rune right click the rune first then hold "shift" key then double click on Eul's Scepter to cast cyclone to self and dodge land mines explosions.

Blink Dagger - The item blink dagger also dodges land mines after taking a rune. However if the rune is illusion and you don't have a bottle in your inventory, taking the illusion rune and queuing blink dagger won't make it to dodge those explosive mines because it will automatically activate the illusion rune after taking it and probably the reason why you won't able to blink out. Maybe you or one of your illusions will trigger the land mines causing your blink dagger to cool down for 3 seconds. So having a bottle in your inventory will keep or save the illusion rune or any kind of rune for future use.

However if Techies intentionally plant landmines in a scattered positioning in rune spawn location then it's difficult to dodge it using a blink dagger, if one land mine explode then you won't be able to blink out due to a damage taken and blink dagger can't be used for 3 seconds.
